For this second album, I've chosen Freddie Hubbard's first recording as a leader: Open Sesame.
Published on Blue Note label on June 19th and recorded by Rudy Van Gelder (told you!). Only a few days before the recording of the album of yesterday... Though week.
This album features Freddie Hubbard (tr), Tina Brooks (ts), at that time the up-and-coming pianist McCoy Tyner (p), Sam Jones (b) and Clifford Jarvis (d).
Half of the tunes are Hubbard and Brooks' originals.
